I’m a big fan of sites like yournameontoast.com ever since I found out about the milliondollarhomepage.com in the Wall Street Journal. It’s easy to fantasize about striking it rich in a matter of weeks by throwing up a viral site. The only reason I bought the piece of toast labeled, “insider landscaping secrets” was because my money was being donated to people more needy than I am.

I’ve Just Bought a Piece of Toast

I’m a Seth Godin junkie and yesterday’s post had a link to yet another traffic pyramiding scheme. This time all the money will be donated to charity. It’s a page of toast icons with a short message written on each piece and a link to the donar’s website. I sent in $18 with the message “Insider Landscaping Secrets.” We’ll see how that stacks up against deeper pockets. I’ll be watching the traffic stats like a hawk this week.
